Adult Leatherwork Class – Handcrafted Leather Belt Workshop
Join us at Simon Martin Whips & Leathercraft in Spreyton, Tasmania, for a hands-on introduction to traditional leatherworking techniques.
In this adult workshop, you’ll create your own premium vegetable-tanned leather belt from start to finish. Guided by one of our master leathercraftsman, you’ll learn how to measure, cut, prepare, and hand stitch your belt using traditional stitching methods.
You’ll also have the opportunity to personalise your creation by hand dyeing the leather, burnishing the edges for a professional finish, and adding your own decorative touches through leather stamping or painting.
No previous experience is required but a minimum of 18years of age. All materials and tools are provided, and you’ll leave with a durable, handcrafted belt that is both practical and uniquely your own. The classes will go for 1.5hrs to 2hrs.
